ScienCell's GeneQuery™ Human Small Cell Lung Cancer qPCR Array Kit (GQH-SLC) is designed to facilitate gene expression profiling of 88 key genes involved in small cell lung cancer (SCLC) carcinogenesis. SCLC accounts for approximately 10-20% of all lung cancers. Compared to non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), SCLC usually grows and metastasizes more rapidly. Brief examples of how included genes may be grouped according to their functions are shown below:
- Oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes: - MYC, RARB, FHIT, TP53, PTEN
- Cell cycle regulation and apoptosis: - CDK2, CDK4, CDK6, CCND1, CCNE2, E2F2, CASP9
- PI3K/AKT pathway: - PI3Ks, AKT1, AKT2
- IKK/NFKB pathway: - NFKB1, CHUK, IKBKB
- Genes implicated in small cell lung cancer: - ABCB1, CSF3, CXCR2, ENO2, HTATIP2, NMB, RCVRN, SST
GeneQuery™ qPCR array kits are qPCR ready in a 96-well plate format, with each well containing one primer set that can specifically recognize and efficiently amplify a target gene's cDNA. The carefully designed primers ensure that: (i) the optimal annealing temperature in qPCR analysis is 65°C (with 2 mM Mg^2+ , and no DMSO); (ii) the primer set recognizes all known transcript variants of target gene, unless otherwise indicated; and (iii) only one gene is amplified. Each primer set has been validated by qPCR with melt curve analysis, and gel electrophoresis.
